Our Story

I'd like to introduce you to Fractal. It's my vision for the future of human-AI symbiosis, where conversations with AI Personas transform our personal lives, relationships, and work.

When I was working on brain-computer interfaces at Kernel I grew excited about technology's opportunity to fundamentally enhance human cognition, relationships, and well-being.

This led me to create Inwords, the first AI talk therapy product, in 2019.

Despite the nascent language AI technology at the time, we were able to craft an impactful positive experience to tens of thousands of Inwords members globally.

Hearing about the diverse ways that our members engaged with Remy, the AI inside of Inwords, grew my conviction that we will all have relationships with AI that help us be and grow into the best version of ourselves.

For us to do so, we must grow beyond isolated interactions with a single AI assistant towards a world of diverse relationships with AI Personas across all dimensions of our life.

Fractal is my manifestation realization of this vision. It's an iOS, macOS app where you create and interact with an ecosystem of AI Personas alongside your friends, family, and colleagues.

Fractal AI Personas are powered by language models (LLMs) from all of the world's leading frontier research companies like Anthropic, OpenAI, Facebook, Google, and more. We're confident that a multi-model world is more interesting, exciting, and powerful than the alternative.

In Fractal, you can:

  • Reflect and catalyze personal growth with a group of AI advisors
  • Discuss career goals with an AI coach while your human mentor contributes
